Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain lighting systems including LED, fluorescent, HID, and control systems.
- Perform service calls for lighting outages, ballast/driver failures, wiring issues, and control malfunctions.
- Install new lighting fixtures, lamps, drivers, ballasts, sensors, and lighting controls.
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
- Safely operate lifts, ladders, and other equipment.
- Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding repairs, recommendations, and timelines.
- Complete service reports, work orders, and documentation accurately.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working condition.
- Indoor and outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Evening or weekend work may be required for certain service calls.
Job Requirements / QualificationsÂ
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical or trade school preferred).
- 2 years of experience in lighting or electrical service (preferred).
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and lighting controls.
- Ability to troubleshoot efficiently and work independently.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights.
- Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred.
- Indoor and outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- 50% possible travel required using company vehicle.
