Public Agency Resources (PARS), a subsidiary of Willdan Group Inc., has an opening for a Permit Technician in the Palm Desert, CA area.
What You'll Do
- Provide customer support at the counter and over the phone.
- Review permit applications for accuracy.
- Calculate and collect permit fees.
- Process and issue building permits.
- Ensure all conditions of approvals are met prior to permit issuance.
- Assist the public with permit applications.
- Verify all necessary project approvals are obtained prior to permit issuance.
- Notify applicants when construction documents and/or permits are ready for pick-up or issuance.
- Coordinate and route documents for plan review and approval.
- Help resolve resident inquiries and complaints.
What You'll Bring
- Must have ICC Certification and municipal experience (ICC Certification Counter Technician).
- 3 years as a Permit Technician required.
- Knowledge of various permitting software is a plus.
- Ability to lift/move up to 10lbs and occasionally lift/move up to 25lbs.
