About the Role
The Maintenance Manager position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. Also manages 4 maintenance technicians.
Responsibilities
- 50/50 hands on / managing
- To oversee repairs of any production piece of equipment in a safe but quick manner when the equipment fails to perform correctly.
- To facilitate / conduct preventative maintenance guidelines on all production related equipment.
- To manage all company vehicles, use and repairs including preventative service.
- Using predetermined guidelines, install safety guards on production equipment.
- To be responsible for the relocation and new movement of equipment.
- Either directly or indirectly responsible for all equipment wiring.
- Building and Grounds Oversight of the Recycle Program for metals, plastics, and paper board.
- Responsible for all ground water spills.
- Responsible for outside vendors related to work on the building or grounds.
- Responsible for upkeep of building and grounds.
- Manage all up fit / remodeling projects on the buildings and grounds.
- Responsible for all equipment associated with upkeep of building and grounds.
- Employee Management: Manage support staff engaged in meeting department goals.
- Oversee manpower hours and the approval of overtime allowances.
- Manage all activities of support staff in adherence of safety protocols.

Pay range and compensation package
- 401K Retirement Plan- eligible after 1 year of service and 1000 hours. Matching 40 cents to every $1 up to 4%.
- Nine Paid Holidays
- Thomasville Y membership at ½ price (at any level)
- Exempt employees- 120 hours PTO annually
- Hourly employees- 80 hours of PTO annually, and 120 hours annually after completion of 7 years of service.
- Birthday Pay- Either work on your birthday and get paid double OR take the day off with pay.
- Paid Leave of 24 hours maximum annually to perform qualified community service.
- Jury duty service supplement pay.
- NC Parental Leave up to 4 hours of paid leave annually.
- Paid bereavement level up to 3 days depending on circumstances.
