- Maintains a professional working relationship with all building staff and parents.
- Maintain confidentiality aligned with both Willard Public Schools code as well as the BACB code of ethics.
- Supports BCBAs with conducting Behavior Skills Training with staff to help them implement behavior intervention plans.
- Carries out work responsibilities effectively under pressure of deadlines, difficult situations, interruptions and new or emergency situations.
- Will participate in required Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training annually.
- Meets applicable district physical ability as well as health and safety guidelines for the position.
- Demonstrates respect for students, staff and parents in all situations.

General Summary:
Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) are responsible for traveling between buildings to assist the board certified behavior analyst (BCBA) to implement behavior reduction and skill acquisition plans. Behavior plans may include procedures on how to arrange the environment to prevent challenging behaviors, instructions for how to teach the student to communicate needs more appropriately, and procedures for how to respond to unsafe behaviors. The RBT will be responsible for working with students in all skill areas including social skills, activities of daily living, communication and behavior. The RBT will be responsible for modeling behavior strategies and interventions for teachers and paras and will follow the exit plan created by the BCBA to fade support back to the classroom staff. All behavior plans are based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. The RBT will be under direct supervision of the BCBA and will participate in weekly meetings to review behavior plans as well as to provide ongoing training and professional development.
