What are the responsibilities and job description for the Property Maintenance Technician position at Willamette Valley Property Maintenance?
We are seeking an energetic, motivated individual to join our property management company as a Property Maintenance Technician. In this role, you will address common maintenance issues across multiple properties, performing repairs and installations as well as recommending subcontractors for serious infrastructural projects. You must be able to address a host of common property issues, such as painting, minor electrical and plumbing repairs, fixture installation, and property upkeep. Our ideal candidate has several years of professional experience in property management and maintenance, along with reliable transportation and a flexible schedule with weekend availability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Respond to maintenance requests
- Perform routine and scheduled maintenance across multiple properties
- Fix aesthetic damage after tenants move out
- Contact third-party technicians when necessary
- Document all repairs made on properties
- Perform repairs, installations of fixtures and appliances, and replacement of damaged systems
- Maintain grounds cleanliness
- Be on-call to respond to emergency issues
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Building maintenance experience
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Physical ability to bend, crouch, and lift objects throughout the workday
- Experience with a variety of construction disciplines
- Customer service skills
- Familiarity with AppFolio or other Property Management Software preferred
- Excellent time management skills
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
- Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus
