Duties
- Provide daily care for dogs and other animals, including feeding, watering, and administering medications as directed
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas to promote health and hygiene
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to prevent injury or stress
- Support pet grooming activities such as bathing, brushing, and basic hygiene care
- Monitor animal behavior for signs of illness or distress and report findings.
- Engage with pets through play, socialization, and enrichment activities to promote mental stimulation
Requirements
- Prior experience in animal handling, kennel work, or veterinary assisting is highly preferred but not required
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) safely and consistently throughout shifts
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
- Reliable transportation.
