Agricultural Equipment Operator

Driving truck from fields to barns and or silos to deliver product, mowing, picking rocks and maintaining fields, weed eating, fixing fences and buildings, running chopper, planting corn, merging hay, spreading manure in fields piled up from the winter, using skidster to clean barns, stack hay and straw to supply for the winter. Adjust, repair, and service farm vehicles, implements, mechanical equipment, fences and other structures and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions. Operate trucks or other multi-purpose vehicles to transport workers from housing (weather on or off the farm) to the farm properties; haul tools, supplies, or crops; transport workers from place to place around the farm properties during the workday (including on public roads to reach the farm fields); and/or transport workers to the grocery store, bank, or laundry facilities on an as needed basis. Those that are requested to drive will be required to possess an appropriate license, no one will be rejected for this position that does not possess a drivers license. Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions. -Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery, building maintenance, .The activities outlined in the job description will be conducted solely on the worksite which is owned and operated by the employer. Workers are expected to work the number of days and hours specified. Depending on weather, crop or other conditions, workers may be requested, but not required to work up to seven days per week and/or on the Sabbath and will be paid overtime accordingly. Employer will furnish workers, without cost, all the tools and equipment required in the performance of the duties assigned. Workers should report for work with their own suitable clothes. While working in the field, phone usage is limited to emergency use only. All workers are to be treated with respect and dignity; they are a critical part of this farm. The workers are also expected to treat the farm's facilities as if they are their own. The farm's housing should be kept clean. When the workers leave, the facilities should be returned to the condition in which they were upon arrival. Alcohol and drug abuse will not be tolerated. During the harvest season, workers will be given a mandatory day of rest, and on the remaining days of the week, the will be expected to work.
