We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team at Wilks Tire & Battery Service. This role is integral to ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our buildings through proactive maintenance and repair of various systems.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of buildings and systems, identifying maintenance needs and safety hazards
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks on a variety of systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general carpentry
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to building operations
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment repairs, and inventory of supplies
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services as needed
- Assist in the implementation of preventive maintenance programs to extend the life cycle of building components
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in building maintenance or a related field is preferred
- 3 years of experience in building maintenance or facilities management
- Strong knowledge of various building systems and maintenance procedures
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues
- Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to multiple sites as needed
- Certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Knowledge of safety regulations and building codes
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools
- Familiarity with building automation systems and energy management
- Understanding of basic construction principles and practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
