Wilkes University invites applicants for an Event Support & Moving Services (ESMS) Supervisor in Campus Support Services. This position helps ensure that campus events, moves, and related support services are completed in a timely, professional, and customer-focused manner that meets or exceeds University expectations.
The successful candidate is responsible for supervising and scheduling ESMS technicians for moves, event set-ups, deliveries, policing of campus areas, and general maintenance and cleaning; communicating with campus clients to coordinate event logistics and larger projects; inspecting completed work and equipment for quality, safety, and readiness; assisting directly with daily operational tasks; and responding to emergency calls and dispatching staff as needed in this working supervisor role. A high school diploma and equivalent work experience are required, and a bachelor's degree is preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience in event management, project management, or event planning; supervisory experience; strong customer service and communication skills; a valid Pennsylvania driver's license; the ability to earn forklift certification within three months of hire; and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
