Lead Custodian- Wildwood School 

Salary range- $20.50/hr-$25/hr depending on verifiable experience

Shift: Monday thru Friday: 4pm to midnight

Requirements: 

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in custodial services or facilities management is a plus.
• Proven experience in custodial services AND 2 years in a supervisory role preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures.
• A valid NYS license and clean driving record
• Internet software, E-mail

Who we are looking for: 

We are looking for a Supervisor to Oversee Wildwood custodial staff to keep Wildwood School, camp, offices, or similar buildings in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Supervise a team of custodial staff, providing guidance, training, and support.
• Assign and monitor daily cleaning tasks to ensure that all areas of the facility are cleaned and maintained according to established standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of custodial activities, including schedules, inventory, and timekeeping.
• Ensure the proper usage and maintenance of cleaning equipment, supplies, and chemicals.
• Respond promptly to requests for additional cleaning services or special tasks.
• Assist with hiring, training, and evaluating custodial staff.
• Address and resolve any performance or disciplinary issues with custodial staff in a timely and effective manner.
• Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, including the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to:

• stand; walk; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms;
• climb or balance (including on ladders and scaffolds) and talk or hear.
• regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds; and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

The employee is occasionally required to:

• sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.
• and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
