What are the responsibilities and job description for the Swim Instructor position at Wildlife Water School, LLC?
Career Opportunity: Long-Term Swim Instructors & Adaptive Aquatics Specialists
Are you looking for more than just a paycheck? Do you want a meaningful, long-term career where you can genuinely change lives? Wildlife Water School, an inclusive swim school for kids of all abilities, is hiring now.
We are seeking highly committed individuals (ages 18 ) to join our team as dedicated Swim Instructors. Because we specialize in teaching children—including those with severe disabilities—consistency, reliability, and heart are at the core of what we do. Our students rely on familiar faces to build trust and make progress, which is why we are looking for team members ready to invest in a multi-year career with us, rather than a short-term side gig.
What We Offer:
Comprehensive Paid Training: Weeks of hands-on, in-water shadowing alongside online coursework to fully prepare you.
Career Growth: Opportunities to advance into business avenues like coaching, training, specialized survival swim, marketing, special education, event planning, and customer service.
Perks & Culture: Opportunities to attend fun team events, including travel to swim instructor retreats, and a voice in helping us explore new business ideas.
The Details & Schedule
We operate year-round across multiple locations. This dynamic role requires traveling to different sites, spending about 2 hours per day at each:
Locations: North Hills, South Hills, East, North Versailles, Greensburg, and Belle Vernon.
Hours: Weeknights from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, and full days on Sundays. Possible more hours this winter and next summer.
What We Are Looking For:
Commitment: This is a long-term professional investment. It is not ideal as a temporary college job.
Reliability: A strict attendance policy is enforced because our kids truly depend on you. Flexibility is a must.
Experience & Traits: Experience in aquatics or childcare is highly preferred. You must be responsible, dedicated, and passionate about working with children of all abilities.
Requirements: Must possess reliable transportation (capable of traveling up to an hour to various locations), provide professional references, and clear all background checks/clearances.
If you are ready to make a lasting impact and grow with a company that values your dedication, we want to hear from you.
