CNC Programmer & Operator (Full-Time)
Wildhouse is hiring a CNC Programmer & Operator to support our fabrication team in producing large-scale event environments, brand activations, scenic elements, signage, and custom installations.
This role focuses on preparing production-ready CNC files, generating toolpaths and G-code, and operating CNC equipment to support the fabrication of experiential environments.
You will work closely with designers, project managers, and fabricators to translate digital designs into accurate, efficient, and build-ready components.
This is a full-time position based at our Anaheim headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Prepare CNC-ready files from design and production drawings
- Create toolpaths and generate G-code for CNC router operations
- Operate CNC equipment safely and efficiently
- Set up materials, tooling, feeds, and speeds for various fabrication materials
- Read and interpret shop drawings, production files, and fabrication plans
- Perform machine setup, calibration, and routine maintenance
- Optimize material usage and nesting layouts
- Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and programming issues
- Collaborate with designers and fabrication teams to ensure accurate execution
- Support fabrication and production teams as needed
Requirements
- Experience operating CNC router equipment is required
- Ability to create, edit, and troubleshoot G-code
- Experience preparing CNC production files and toolpaths
- Ability to read shop drawings and fabrication plans
- Strong understanding of fabrication methods and material behavior
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Must work on-site in Anaheim (no remote)
Preferred Experience
- Experience with VCarve, Aspire, Fusion 360, EnRoute, or similar CAM software
- Experience cutting plywood, MDF, acrylic, PVC, ACM, and related fabrication materials
- Experience within scenic fabrication, experiential marketing, events, retail environments, or custom production shops
- Basic understanding of CAD workflows and production design files
Portfolio Requirement
Examples of CNC programming work, fabrication projects, production files, or completed CNC projects are preferred.
Candidates should be prepared to discuss CNC workflows, toolpath strategies, and fabrication processes during the interview.
Compensation
$35–$45 per hour depending on experience.
Hiring Process
In-person interview at our Anaheim studio
A brief, non-paid work interview will be required
A practical CNC programming and fabrication assessment will be completed during the interview
Candidates may be asked to review a production file, explain tooling strategy, and generate a basic toolpath workflow

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
