Hamley Steakhouse Maintenance Technician

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the facility, including interior janitorial, minor repair, maintenance, and outdoor parking and walkway areas.  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Ensure customer satisfaction through prompt, efficient, and friendly service.
2. Collects and properly dispose of all trash from both facility and the grounds.
3. Performs janitorial duties, including sanitizing, mopping, vacuuming, waxing, buffing, and dusting.
4. Uses chemical cleaners and supplies as directed and safely and healthfully to self, other employees, and customers.
5. Assists with major cleaning duties - carpets, filters, cleaning of machinery, furniture, and painting.
6. Perform daily inspection of light bulbs and replace them as necessary.
7. Provides physical setup for special events or activities including lifting and maneuvering bulky and heavy items.
8. Routinely cleans authorized employee access areas.
9. Stocks and supplies in various custodial areas.
10. Greets and acknowledge customers encountered, pleasantly, providing informational assistance as needed.
11. Promotes a clean, safe, and healthy work environment for employees and guests. Promptly reports all concerns to Supervisor.
12. Adhere to established federal, state, and tribal health and safety codes/standards.
13. Comply with regulatory laws, Hamley’s Team Member Handbook, department policy and procedures, safety codes, etc.
14. Ensure that the operation of equipment, tools, and materials is handled safely.
15. Promote internal guest service standards through courteous and respectful behavior.
16. Performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Experience with various cleaning equipment and materials.
2. Effective communication skills both verbal and written ensuring the ability to read and follow directions on equipment, cleaning chemicals, and instruction.
3. Needs to walk, stand, bend, lift, and maneuver heavy items, while working in a noisy environment and perform repetitive actions with arms, wrists, and hands.
4. Exhibits a professional demeanor through appearance and by maintaining a positive attitude toward all employees and guests.
5. Requires a criminal history background check.
6. Must be at least 18 years of age.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Six (6) months experience in maintenance, repair, and equipment operation.
2. Previous experience or training in chemical and sanitation awareness.
3. High School Diploma or GED.
