Responsibilities
- Deliver prepared lessons and instructional activities in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring continuity of learning.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students with diverse learning styles
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a safe and respectful environment conducive to learning.
- Foster positive relationships with students and families
Skills
- Experience working with children across various age groups, including ages 1-5
- Proficiency in behavior management strategies
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, parents, and students.
- Background in early childhood education, literacy education, math instruction, or Montessori methods is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new environments and implement engaging instructional activities.
- Passion for nurturing childhood development through innovative teaching approaches and compassionate interaction.
The ideal candidate for this role will be able to work on an as-needed basis. A predictable weekly schedule will be available for the right candidate, with the possibility of additional hours.
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 15.0 per week
