Responsibilities
- As a Content Strategy & Copywriting Intern at Wildflower Health, you will:
- Content Creation: Write clear, engaging, and informative content for our website, blog, email newsletters, and social media channels. Focus on topics such as maternal health, digital health, family wellness, and health equity.
- SEO Optimization: Ensure that all content is optimized for SEO, working alongside the marketing team to identify relevant keywords, improve rankings, and drive organic traffic.
- Brand Voice: Help maintain Wildflower Health’s brand voice across all written content. Write in a way that reflects our compassionate, approachable, and expert tone, while also educating and empowering our audience.
- Research & Strategy: Conduct research on industry trends, healthcare innovations, and maternal health topics to create data-backed, relevant content. Assist in shaping content strategy based on audience needs and business goals.
- Content Planning: Support the content calendar by brainstorming new content ideas, collaborating with the marketing team, and ensuring timely delivery of content across platforms.
- Content Editing & Proofreading: Edit and proofread all content to ensure it is error-free, consistent with brand guidelines, and engaging for our target audience.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with the marketing, product, and design teams to ensure all content aligns with company objectives and resonates with our users.
- Analytics Tracking: Help analyze the performance of written content and contribute to reports on content engagement and impact, suggesting ways to improve.
- Academic Background: Currently pursuing a degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Public Health, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Writing Skills: Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to produce high-quality content that resonates with a diverse audience.
- Passion for Health & Wellness: A genuine interest in healthcare, digital health, and maternal/family wellness. Previous experience in health-related content writing is a plus, but not required.
- SEO Knowledge: Familiarity with SEO best practices and tools (Google Analytics, SEMrush, Moz, etc.) to enhance content visibility and engagement.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to express complex health topics in a clear, accessible way for a general audience.
- Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain a high standard of work.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, HubSpot), Google Docs, and project management tools (Trello, Asana, etc.).
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, from designers to developers and healthcare experts.
