Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Outdoor Education Leader to support our educational programs focused on experiential learning in outdoor settings. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in early childhood education, special education, or related fields who enjoy working with children and fostering a love for nature and learning. The Outdoor Education Leader will collaborate with educators ensure a safe, inclusive environment for all students. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's development through hands-on outdoor activities and tailored educational experiences. This program runs along side most Marin County school closures with closures for Thanksgiving, winter break, spring break, ski week and summer break.
Responsibilities
- Confidence leading a group of up to 12 children ages 3-5 with an aide.
- Maintaining a safe and supervised environment
- Organization of materials and children's belongings
- Lead in games, circle time, mini-hikes, and art.
- Freedom to choose activities, art and hike routes!
Skills
- Dependability and flexibility in schedule between 8:30-1pm Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Organization and time management
- Confident in greeting parents during arrivals and departures
- Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool, daycare, or private schools.
- Knowledge of early childhood development, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and engage children effectively.
- Passion for outdoor education and creating enriching experiences that promote curiosity and learning in natural environments.
Requirements:
- We ask that you live within 30 minutes of Ross, CA to ensure limited tardiness to work
- Valid CPR Certification
- At least 2 years experience with children ages 3-5

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 8.0 per week
