CHURCH STAFF RELATIONSHIP
The position of Children's Director is established at the recommendation of the lead pastor and is a part-time employee of the church—amenable to the lead pastor and
Board of Directors.
DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES
Wilde Lake is a congregation of people who are passionate about God’s vision for the church and the community. The Children’s Director must be a visionary thinker who is able to dream God-sized dreams and is willing to step out in faith to ensure effective and passionate ministry.
- Provide vision, strategy and development for Children’s Ministry environments
(K5-5th).
- Provide leadership, direction and training for Children’s Ministry volunteers.
- Review, purchase and oversee the implementation of curriculum.
- Facilitate large and small group experiences for all necessary services.
- Develop and maintain safe, clean and aesthetic early childhood learning environments.
- Plan, implement and oversee special events such as: o Annual (internal) Easter Egg Hunt o Fall Festival (Trunk-or-Treat) o Christmas Programming (TBA) o Vacation Bible School o Other events to promote growth
- Attend bi-monthly staff meetings.
- Other duties as may be assigned by the pastor.
HOURLY EXPECTATION
The minimum expectation for the Children's Director is 20 hours per week. Office hours are not currently required but they are encouraged when possible as a way to adopt and share vision between coworkers. Vacation, continuing education and time off will be governed by the personnel policy of the church.
CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in ministry or child related field AND/OR experience equivalent.
BACKGROUND CHECK
A background check is required before starting in this position. Furthermore, a background and/or drug test may be required at any time at the discretion of the pastor or B.O.D.
CPR/FIRST AID
Training in CPR and First Aid is required. If Director is not certified, the church will provide training opportunities.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16,000.00 - $18,000.00 per year
