Job Overview
Wild Wasabi Signature, a dynamic Hibachi and Sushi restaurant, is seeking a friendly, attentive Host/Server Assistant to join our team. With two distinct dining areas—Hibachi tables and a traditional dining room, plus a full bar—our goal is to provide an exceptional dining experience for every guest. As a Host/Server Assistant, you will be crucial in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable visit for our guests, from their warm welcome to efficient support of our service staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to either the Hibachi area or dining room.
- Manage seating arrangements and maintain an updated waitlist to optimize table turnover in both departments.
- Assist servers by delivering food and drinks, clearing tables, and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the dining areas.
- Work closely with the Hibachi chefs and dining room servers to ensure timely and accurate food service.
- Provide guests with menu information, including specials for both sushi and hibachi.
- Help maintain a positive atmosphere in the restaurant, addressing guest inquiries and resolving minor concerns.
- Assist with clearing and resetting tables, refilling water, and keeping the dining areas clean.
- Coordinate with the kitchen, bar, and service staff to ensure a smooth flow of operations.
- Other duties as needed to support the restaurant team and enhance guest experience.
Qualifications:
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is a plus, especially in Hibachi or sushi environments.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced setting with both Hibachi and dining room service.
- A team player with a positive attitude and attention to detail.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
