Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic, seasoned Server to join our dynamic team. This is not an entry level position. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing outstanding service to our guests, ensuring their satisfaction throughout their visit. We have a seasonal themed, scratch menu. Knowing specific menu items is a must for our many guests with dietary restriction/ needs. We serve dinner only 7 nights a week, weekend availability is necessary.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials and promotions, while actively upselling menu items.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Manage multiple tables efficiently while maintaining high levels of customer service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order preparation and presentation.
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback with professionalism to enhance guest relations.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.
- Process payments accurately using cash handling procedures and basic math skills.
Experience
- 2-3 years Previous experience in food service with fine dining experience at minimum.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS, OpenTable systems is advantageous.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation techniques is necessary
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on customer service and guest relations.
- Basic Wine knowledge with NW emphasis including pairing suggestions
