Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher's Aide to support classroom teachers in creating a positive and effective learning environment for students. This role involves assisting lead teachers with daily routines. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, especially in early childhood education or special education settings, and possess strong communication and classroom management skills. This position is for a teacher's aide in an infant and toddler setting.
Responsibilities
- Help manage classroom activities, ensuring a safe, organized, and engaging space for children.
- Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming classroom.
- Assist with classroom routines such as meal times, nap times, diaper changes, and transitions between activities.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff to support student progress and well-being.
- Maintain a positive attitude and be a team player.
- Be willing to complete required yearly training hours.
Skills
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, private school, or similar educational environments.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Strong classroom management skills to foster a respectful and productive learning environment.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with teachers, parents, and students.
- Ability to manage behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques.
- Compassionate attitude towards children of all abilities and backgrounds.
