LANDSCAPE FOREMAN
PAY RANGE
Hourly Rate: $19 per hour
Overtime: Available based on seasonal workload
POSITION SUMMARY
The Landscape Foreman is responsible for leading a production crew in the execution of daily lawn maintenance and landscape services, ensuring all work is completed at the highest level of quality, efficiency, and consistency.
This role is accountable for crew performance, job site execution, safety, and client satisfaction. The Foreman serves as the on-site leader, responsible for training, developing, and holding crew members accountable while maintaining production standards and protecting job profitability.
The Landscape Foreman works closely with Production Managers to ensure all routes, schedules, and job expectations are executed at a high level.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Within the first 3–6 months, this role will have:
- Crew Performance: Consistently leading crews that meet or exceed production and quality standards
- Job Execution: Delivering clean, consistent, and high-quality results across all assigned properties
- Leadership: Establishing clear expectations and accountability within the crew
- Efficiency: Maintaining strong revenue per man hour and minimizing downtime
- Equipment Management: Ensuring all trucks, trailers, and equipment are organized and operational daily
- Safety: Operating with zero safety violations and enforcing all company policies
- Communication: Providing consistent updates to Production Managers on job progress, issues, and opportunities
OBJECTIVES
- Lead a crew to execute daily lawn maintenance and landscape operations at or above company production and quality standards.
- Achieve and consistently maintain crew efficiency targets aligned with revenue per man hour expectations.
- Ensure all assigned properties meet Wild Ridge quality standards for clean, detailed, and professional appearance.
- Train, develop, and hold crew members accountable to performance, behavior, and safety expectations.
- Consistently meet or exceed daily route schedules and job completion targets set by Production Managers.
- Maintain organized, efficient truck and trailer setup to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
- Operate all equipment safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.
- Maintain equipment in proper working condition and report all issues through required systems in a timely manner.
- Complete all assigned work orders accurately, efficiently, and on time.
- Ensure accurate daily time tracking and reporting for all crew members.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site at all times.
- Enforce all company safety policies and conduct regular crew safety meetings.
- Identify, communicate, and escalate property issues, risks, and enhancement opportunities to leadership.
- Communicate proactively with Production Managers regarding job status, delays, labor needs, and performance gaps.
- Maintain strong, professional client interactions when on-site, representing Wild Ridge at a high level.
- Support seasonal operations, including snow, with urgency, accountability, and reliability.
- Drive continuous improvement in crew performance, efficiency, and quality through training and accountability.
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture focused on performance, ownership, and results.
- Demonstrate leadership through example, setting the standard for work ethic, attitude, and execution.
- Take full ownership of crew performance, job outcomes, and overall route success.
COMPETENCIES

- Lawn maintenance operations and equipment
- Turf care, weeds, and basic plant health

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- 3–5 years of hands-on landscaping or lawn maintenance experience
- Prior leadership or crew lead experience preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Indiana driver’s license and insurable by company standards
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor conditions
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly
- Willingness to work extended hours during peak seasons
- Commitment to company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures
