Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hat Shaper to join our creative manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for shaping and finishing hats to meet high-quality standards, ensuring each piece reflects craftsmanship and precision. Your expertise will contribute to producing stylish, well-crafted headwear that delights customers and elevates our brand reputation. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about fashion, craftsmanship, and attention to detail to thrive in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Shape, steam, and customize hats to meet customer preferences and Company quality standards.
- Create an exceptional guest experience by providing friendly, engaging, and personalized service.
- Educate customers on hat shaping options, customization, fit, and care.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workstation throughout each event.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of the hat shaping station and related equipment.
- Properly handle and care for Company inventory, tools, and equipment.
- Follow all Company policies, venue requirements, and event procedures.
- Represent Wild Pony Hat Bar professionally while interacting with customers, venue staff, vendors, and fellow team members.
Qualifications
- Required:
- Previous professional hat shaping experience.
- Strong craftsmanship and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to confidently engage with customers in a fast-paced event environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to event locations throughout the Houston area.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and event-based schedules.
Preferred:
- Experience working at hat bars, western retailers, rodeos, trade shows, or live events.
