Job Summary
Become part of our welcoming retail team at Wild Oats as a Cashier, where we take pride in knowing our customers by name! We’re seeking a part-time team member to handle transactions while delivering warm, attentive service. Weekend availability is a must.
Responsibilities
- Use the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately and efficiently to complete transactions.
- Process cash, check, and credit card payments carefully, following proper cash-handling procedures.
- Help customers with questions about products and store offerings.
- Keep shelves organized and visually appealing by straightening items, maintaining displays, and ensuring products are neatly presented.
- Answer store calls with professionalism, assisting customers and vendors over the phone.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging shoppers, offering help, and sharing information about promotions or specials.
Qualifications
- Prior cashier or retail/grocery experience is a plus, but not required—willingness to learn is most important.
- Basic math skills and familiarity with POS systems are helpful for handling transactions confidently.
- Strong customer service abilities and clear, friendly communication, including phone etiquette.
