Daycare Teacher

Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that foster literacy, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional growth for children from toddlers to preschoolers.
• Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, organized, and stimulating environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Provide individualized support for children with special education needs or those requiring early intervention services.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share progress updates, address concerns, and promote active engagement in their child's development.
• Apply behavior management strategies to promote positive conduct and resolve conflicts effectively within the classroom setting.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting any concerns related to child welfare or safety.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of childhood development best practices, early childhood education standards, and first aid/CPR certifications to ensure the highest level of care.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or early childhood education setting.
• Strong knowledge of child development principles, classroom management techniques, and curriculum development.
• Experience working with children who have special needs or require early intervention services is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and community partners.
• Demonstrated ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
• Valid certification in first aid and CPR; additional credentials in childhood development or special education are a plus.
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to ensure safety and compliance at all times.
• Ability to work flexibly in a dynamic environment while maintaining patience, enthusiasm, and professionalism.

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
