Summary
As a Purchasing Driver at our prestigious resort, your primary responsibility will be the transportation and delivery of goods and materials essential to the seamless operation of our facilities. You will play a vital role in ensuring timely and secure deliveries from suppliers to the resort. Your duties will involve operating various vehicles, including trucks or vans, to pick up, transport, and deliver supplies to different departments within the resort. Attention to detail and adherence to schedules will be paramount, as you'll need to maintain accurate delivery records and ensure the safe handling of goods. Your role will directly contribute to the smooth functioning of our resort by guaranteeing that all necessary items are delivered promptly to the right destinations, upholding our commitment to exceptional service for our guests and staff.
Essential job FUNCTIONS:
· Safely and promptly transport goods, supplies, and materials from suppliers to the resort, ensuring on-time and accurate deliveries.
· Operate various vehicles (such as trucks, vans, or other designated transportation) following safety protocols and regulations to transport goods, while maintaining the condition and cleanliness of the vehicle.
· Plan efficient delivery routes, considering traffic conditions, distances, and optimal schedules to ensure timely and effective deliveries.
· Assist in loading and unloading deliveries, verifying the accuracy of items received, and maintaining inventory records to manage stock levels accurately.
· Maintain clear communication with the purchasing department and other relevant staff regarding delivery schedules, any delays, or issues. Ensure accurate record-keeping of deliveries and associated paperwork.
· Conduct basic quality checks on delivered items to ensure they meet the resort's standards and report any discrepancies or damages.
· Interact professionally with suppliers during the delivery process and with resort staff upon arrival to facilitate smooth and efficient unloading and inventory management.

Experience & Education:
- A High School Diploma or equivelent is required.
- Experience in customer service.
- Previous Hotel or Resort experience desired.
Job REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
- Project and time management skills are essential.
- Strong attention to detail.
- You must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Must be able to work flexible days/hours.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
