About Us
We're a young family in Fairmont, WV with a two-year-old son named Rowan. We're looking for a warm, reliable, and trustworthy nanny to become a consistent part of our family's routine. This isn't a traditional 9-to-5 position — it's a flexible, guaranteed-hours role designed to give our family on-demand availability when we need it most.
The Position
This is a part-time nanny role built around a set weekly schedule of guaranteed hours. You are required to keep the following windows available each week — we will call on you during these times when/if we need you, and you are compensated for all guaranteed hours whether we use them or not.
Guaranteed Weekly Schedule (Current):
- Monday & Wednesday: 12:00am – 4:00pm
- Thursday & Friday: 5:00pm – 9:30pm
- Saturday: 10:00am – 4:00pm
Total: 23 guaranteed hours per week
When we need you, we'll reach out and you'll head over to our home. We ask that you be able to arrive within 30–45 minutes of being called during your guaranteed window. Some weeks you may work close to the full 23 hours. Other weeks it may be much less. Your pay does not change either way.
A Note on Schedule Flexibility
The specific days and times listed above are our ideal schedule, but we're open to adjusting them for the right candidate. Here's what's firm and what's flexible:
Non-negotiable:
- Two weekday midday windows (roughly noon–4pm range) each week
- Two weekday evening windows (roughly 5pm–9:30pm range) each week
- A six-hour Saturday window each week
Flexible:
- Which specific weekdays those windows fall on
- Slight shifts in Saturday timing (for example, 11am–5pm instead of 10am–4pm) to work around existing commitments you have

What You'll Be Doing
- Attentive one-on-one care for our two-year-old
- Engaging him in age-appropriate play, activities, and learning
- Managing his daily routine — snacks, meals, nap time, outdoor play
- Light child-related tidying (picking up toys, cleaning up after meals, etc.)
- Keeping us updated with easy communication throughout your time with him

Ideal Qualifications
- Prior experience with toddlers (paid or unpaid)
- CPR/First Aid certified or willing to become certified
- Clean background check required
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Comfortable with dogs (we have two friendly ones)
- Non-smoker
- References from previous families or employers preferred
Compensation & Details
- $20.00/hour
- 23 guaranteed hours paid weekly regardless of hours actually worked
- W-2 household employment — taxes handled properly, this is a legitimate part-time position
