Summary:
The Plant Laborer position performs all tasks involved in the processing of eggs. The safe operation of all equipment and completing required paperwork for reports and inventory control. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure operations are as efficient and safe as possible.
Essential Functions:
1. Able to stand, bend, kneel, reach and lift below and above shoulders, for prolonged periods of time (8 hours minimum per day).
2. Able to lift 25 pounds frequently, push, and/or pull 40 pounds for prolonged periods of time (8 hours minimum per day).
3. Able to operate various hand and power tools (electric pallet - jack, pallet jack, commercial tape dispenser, overwrap machine, brooms, and mops).
Job Duties:
1. Staging product.
2. Packing product on the line and on to pallets.
3. Operating electric or manual jacks.
4. Cleaning production areas
5. Completing required documents/checklists or reports.
6. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
1. Comfortable operating electric or manual jacks.
2. Packing product on a line and on to pallets.
3. good physical condition (able to sit, walk, stand, kneel, and work below and above shoulders and left up to 40 - pounds minimum repeatedly for long periods of time; 8 hours minimum per day).
