Petro Route Driver Salesperson
JOB SUMMARY: Deliver petroleum products as dispatched on assigned daily routes. Provide quality customer service through timely and orderly deliveries, which maximizes efficiency. Develop and maintain the full gallonage potential of the route area.
Responsibilities
- Deliver fuel and/or lubricants in the geographic area on a daily route with NO overnight requirements.
- Accurately complete and process daily office and DOT paperwork
- Safely operate and maintain petroleum delivery trucks.
- Exhibit knowledge of customers' usage, storage, and product selection.
- Exhibit knowledge of emergency procedures while handling hazardous materials.
- Exhibit general knowledge of the agriculture field and the community.
- Maintain positive customer relationships.
- Periodic weekend on-call (required)
Special Skills/Training
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
- Ability to interact effectively with customers and co-workers.
- Knowledge of HazMat cleanup and emergency response procedures.
- Ability to operate fuel delivery vehicles safely and confidently.
- Knowledge of correct fuel loading and unloading procedures.
Experience/Education
- High School graduate or equivalent
- CDL Class B Commercial Driver’s License with HazMat endorsement and medical card
- One year of experience in delivery route driving
- Ability to drive and acquire forklift driving certification
Physical Requirements
- Requires lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Working Conditions
- Outdoors.
- Noise from fuel truck.
- Exposure to fumes and highly flammable products.
