General Purpose and Scope of Position:
Wilbur-Ellis is dedicated to bringing innovative crop agriculture solutions to growers. With the growing interest in drone, UAS, UAV & eVTOL applications in agriculture, the UAS Operations Manager will have ownership over the go-to-market operations of the UAS fleet to ensure safety, compliance, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will have prior knowledge and experience in unmanned aerial systems and agricultural aerial applications.
Skills and Abilities Include:
- FAA part 107 certification
- Aerial commercial applicators license (CA)
- 3 years experience flying drone/UAS/UAV & eVTOL
- 5 years of agricultural application experience
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study
- Knowledge of regulatory environments for aerial operations and agriculture application
- Strong project management and time management skills
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables Include:
- Oversee piloting of UAS units, including planning, scheduling, and execution of flights
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop best-in-class SOPs for the unmanned aerial business. This includes but is not limited to understanding weather conditions, flight planning, maintenance, training, and development
- Collaborate with legal and risk teams to ensure regulatory compliance, operational standards, and adequate training for operators
- Fleet management of WECO-owned drones and/or UAS, UAV & eVTOL
- Work with business managers at key locations to provide safe and efficient application services

Compensation:
In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $96,300 to $134,800. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
