Role Description
This is a contract role for an Assistant Athletic Trainer located on-site in Wilbraham, MA. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will assist in the prevention, diagnosis, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. Daily responsibilities include providing care for student-athletes, implementing injury prevention programs, offering strength and conditioning guidance, and managing recovery plans. Collaboration with athletic staff and healthcare professionals will be a key component of this role.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation strategies to ensure the safety and well-being of student-athletes
- Strong skills in Athletic Training
- Expertise in Prevention techniques to minimize the risk of injuries during athletic activities
- Certification as an Athletic Trainer (ATC) required
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with coaches, athletes, and healthcare providers
- CPR and First Aid certification required
- Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, or a related field required; Master’s degree is a plus
