- The Engineering Intern will support mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams by contributing to hands-on projects, process improvements, testing, and analysis within a manufacturing environment. This role provides practical experience working alongside engineers on real-world engineering challenges that support product development, manufacturing efficiency, and quality improvement.
- Responsibilities
- Support mechanical, electrical, and software engineering projects through hands-on involvement in design, testing, data analysis, and documentation
- Assist engineers with development, modification, and validation of products, components, systems, or manufacturing equipment
- Collect, analyze, and interpret technical data to support engineering decisions and design changes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing and Engineering to support safe and efficient execution of engineering changes
- Demonstrate dependability, initiative, and a willingness to learn through active participation in engineering tasks and projects
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- Enrolled at Junior or Senior level preferred
- Strong interest in engineering fundamentals, problem-solving, and hands-on learning in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage tasks with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with relevant tools or software such as:
- Mechanical: CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
- Electrical: Basic circuit concepts, schematics, or test equipment
- Software: Basic programming, scripting, or embedded systems concepts (language flexible)
- Knowledge of processes in Microsoft windows, engineering software such as Auto CAD and Solid Works
- Understanding of, or willingness to learn, ISO work instructions, standard operating procedures, and quality systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
