Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive services, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and expertise. You will leverage your mechanical knowledge and customer service skills to provide accurate estimates, recommend services, and facilitate a seamless service experience.
Duties
- Greet customers and assess their automotive service needs, providing exceptional customer service throughout the process.
- Utilize your experience to effectively communicate with customers about vehicle maintenance, repairs, and services.
- Prepare detailed service estimates by evaluating vehicle conditions and utilizing auto estimating skills.
- Upsell additional services based on customer needs and vehicle diagnostics, enhancing customer satisfaction and dealership profitability.
- Collaborate with service technicians to ensure accurate diagnosis of issues related to transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, alignment, suspension, tire service, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, and air brakes.
- Maintain thorough documentation of all services performed and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Provide guidance on automotive repairs including auto body repair and general maintenance practices.
- Foster long-term relationships with customers by providing follow-up communication regarding their vehicle's performance and future maintenance needs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dealership setting or as an Automotive Service Advisor is highly preferred.
- Strong background in auto service management with a solid understanding of automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge.
- Proven ability in upselling services while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Experience as a mechanic or service technician is an asset; familiarity with automotive repair processes is essential.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service; ability to explain technical information clearly to customers.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including oil changes, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, tire services, and more.
