Wiginton Fire Systems is seeking experienced Traveling Fire Sprinkler Foremen to lead field crews in the installation of water-based fire protection systems at project sites across multiple states. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working on the road, mentoring others, and ensuring high-quality installations in dynamic environments.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and train teams in the installation of fire sprinkler systems, standpipes, and fire pumps
- Execute work according to fire protection design drawings and NFPA standards
- Manage and track materials delivered to job sites
- Operate hand and power tools to cut, thread, and install piping systems
- Collaborate with general contractors, project managers, and other trades to maintain schedule and quality
- Maintain daily documentation and jobsite reports
- Mentor apprentices and helpers to build the next generation of talent
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
- Pressure test and inspect piping systems for leaks and code compliance
- Work from ladders, scaffolds, and lifts at heights over 40 feet
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years of fire sprinkler installation experience, with at least 1–2 years as a foreman
- Willingness to travel extensively (regional or national projects as needed)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet all insurance requirements
- Strong leadership, communication, and job planning skills
- Knowledge of NFPA standards, fire code requirements, and jobsite safety
- Journeyman certification (preferred)
- Must be able to work independently and in physically demanding environments
- Only candidates with relevant fire sprinkler installation and foreman experience will be considered
