As a Licensed Interior Architect with 6 - 10 years of experience, you will be responsible for developing and managing interior architecture projects, from conceptual design to implementation. You will work closely with clients, project teams, and vendors to ensure that design solutions are functional and aesthetically pleasing while aligning with project goals and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Design Development: Lead the creation of interior architecture concepts, including space planning, layout designs, material selections, and architectural detailing. Produce detailed design documentation and coordinate with architectural teams.
- Client Interaction: Serve as a primary contact for clients, understanding their needs and preferences, providing expert advice, and ensuring that design solutions meet their expectations and project requirements.
- Project Management: Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables. Coordinate with project teams to ensure efficient execution of design plans and adherence to project schedules.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all design solutions comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and standards. Obtain necessary approvals and permits as required.
- Vendor Coordination: Source and select materials, finishes, and furnishings. Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of products.
- Site Visits: Conduct site visits to monitor the progress of design implementation, address any issues or discrepancies, and ensure that design solutions are executed as planned.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers and other design professionals to integrate interior design solutions with overall project objectives and ensure seamless project delivery.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and reports. Ensure that all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible.
- Presentation: Develop and deliver presentations to clients and stakeholders, effectively communicating design concepts, project progress, and design rationale.
- Versatility: Adapting to various roles within a project, whether in leadership or support, while consistently performing at a high level. Proactively handles tasks beyond the primary scope and adjusts to changing priorities to ensure project success, team collaboration, and firm excellence.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited institution in interior architecture, architecture, or a related field.
- Certifications/Licensure: Licensed Architect or equivalent professional certification is required.
- Experience: 6 -10 years of professional experience in interior architecture, with a proven track record of managing and delivering successful projects.
- Design Skills: Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite is required, as is proficiency with 3D modeling and rendering.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects, manage client relationships, and adhere to deadlines and budgets.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards relevant to interior architecture.
- Creativity and Innovation: Exceptional design skills with a keen eye for aesthetics, spatial arrangement, and attention to detail. Ability to develop creative and functional design solutions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and collaborate effectively with clients and team members.
- Organizational Skills: Effective organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage project workflows efficiently.
- Team Player: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
Salary Range: $80,000 - $125,000. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
