Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency. This job is a part-time evening, 4:00 p.m.-7:00p.m.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas.
- Detail cleaning and disinfecting of daycare kids' classrooms., which includes detail dust mopping and wet mopping of classroom floors. Cleaning of window and door glasses.
- Clean sinks, mirrors, walls, outside of paper/soap dispensers. Empty/clean trash cans. Sweep mats in front of sinks.
- Detail clean restrooms. replenish paper towel & soap dispensers, keep walls clean, empty and clean diaper pails.
- Collect all trash and take to outside designated bins.
- Ensure all cleaning carts are stocked and report any maintenance issues to the supervisor.
- Follow established procedures for cleaning and maintaining equipment to ensure longevity and effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of safety practices related to cleaning chemicals and equipment use is beneficial.
