The Opportunity
Delaware North Gaming is hiring a Slot Drop Sweep to join our team at Wheeling Island Casino in Wheeling, West Virginia. As a Hard/Soft Count Team Member, you will count and sort previous days' soft money and gaming chips accurately and in a timely manner while following all policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that cash boxes are removed from carts, scanned and put through the MPS system.
- Ensure that all monies are verified, proofed, strapped and bricked with the required information on the straps.
- Ensure all logs and forms are completed daily.
- Transport money carts to needed storage areas.
- Report any poker box or table box problems to Lead Count.
- Perform as a team member and assist fellow employees to ensure a smooth operation.
- Follow all company, departmental, and state policies and procedures.
- Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge and skill.
- Greet guests appropriately, treating each person as an individual and in a professional manner.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to handle large amounts of money responsibly.
- Ability to obtain and maintain the proper state gaming commission license is required.
- Basic math skills including addition and subtraction
- Role model the GuestPath Universal Service Standards interacting positively through relationships with guests, fellow associates and members of the management team displaying genuine concern and mutual respect for people's needs.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift or carry 30 pounds.
- Manual dexterity to casino chips and paper bills.
- Exposure to secondhand smoke.
- Exposure to high volume noise.
