Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC systems across various properties. Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation and extend system lifespan.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems such as refrigerant lines, drainage, and water supply connections.
- Utilize testing tools like ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to identify electrical or mechanical faults.
- Repair or replace components such as motors, compressors, valves, welders, and other mechanical parts using welding or mechanical skills.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs of repairs performed, and parts used for each job.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards including proper handling of ammonia refrigeration systems and other hazardous materials.
- Assist with HVAC design modifications or upgrades based on client needs or building specifications.
- Operate a
driver vehicle safely for field service visits while adhering to all transportation regulations.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems.
- Proven service technician experience in construction or property maintenance environments.
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately for troubleshooting purposes.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC installations and repairs.
- Experience with appliance repair and maintenance of heating or cooling equipment.
- Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems and HVAC design principles.
- Skilled in the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing.
- Mechanical skills including welding, equipment repair, and boiler maintenance expertise.
- Field service experience with a focus on property maintenance or commercial HVAC projects.
- Ability to work independently in the field while managing multiple service calls efficiently.
