About the Role

Wiens Cellars is seeking a high‑energy, sales‑focused Tasting Room Sales Associate to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys connecting with guests. Success in this position is measured by wine sales, Wine Club memberships, event ticket sales, and delivering outstanding guest experiences. You’ll play a key role in driving wine sales, wine club enrollments, and event ticket purchases while delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Compensation: Guaranteed base hourly of $16.90 - earn up to $50.00 hourly based on performance!

**Compensation beyond the guaranteed based hourly rate is earned from tips and commissions which are not guaranteed, but possible as shown by some of our current associate paychecks.

Key Responsibilities

Create Memorable Guest Experiences that Drive Sales

• Welcome guests with genuine enthusiasm and create engaging, personalized tasting experiences.
• Share the Wiens Cellars story, our winemaking philosophy, and the unique qualities of each wine with confidence and authenticity.
• Build rapport with guests by asking thoughtful questions, understanding their preferences, and tailoring wine recommendations to their tastes.
• Create meaningful connections that inspire guests to purchase wines, join the Wine Club, attend winery events, and return for future visits.
• Represent the Wiens Cellars brand with professionalism, warmth, and exceptional hospitality.

Drive Revenue & Wine Club Growth

• Confidently present and pour wines with a focus on converting tastings into bottle, case, and event ticket sales.
• Clearly communicate the value and benefits of Wine Club membership, guiding guests to the membership that best fits their interests.
• Recognize buying opportunities and recommend wines, memberships, and experiences that enhance the guest's visit.
• Consistently work toward individual and team sales, Wine Club, and guest experience goals.

Support Exceptional Tasting Room Operations

• Process transactions accurately using Commerce7, including cash handling, credit card processing, and receipts.
• Package wine purchases and assist guests with take-home orders efficiently and professionally.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming tasting room that reflects the Wiens Cellars brand.
• Collaborate with teammates and management to ensure smooth daily operations and maximize guest satisfaction.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and work both indoors and outdoors.
