Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits
- Manage dine in and takeout efficiently to optimize flow and minimize wait times
- Take accurate food and beverage orders in person, demonstrating clear communication skills
- Use POS systems such as Lavu POS to process orders swiftly and accurately
- Answer guest inquiries with professionalism, offering menu recommendations and resolving concerns promptly
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness of the host area and dining area, adhering to health and safety standards
- Ability to serve alcohol including beer, wine and mixed drinks.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and guest relations
- Familiarity with POS systems like Lavu.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Experience in restaurant or hospitality settings is advantageous, including hotel guest services or serving roles
- Reliable, punctual, and able to stand or walk for extended periods
