Wieland is hiring a Quality Lead . The Quality Lead will s erve as a vital role in the organization by planning, directing, or coordinating quality assurance programs. Responsible for all aspects of maintaining and implementing our Quality Management System (QMS). The successful canidate will formulate quality practices, control laboratory operations and interface with production. They will works closely with all levels and departments of the organization.
This role is located in Kilgore, TX and will be fully on-site. While this role is local, occasional travel to other locations may be required (15-25% travel).

Responsibilities
Quality Lead Responsibilities:
- Has primary responsibility for all management level tasks associated with obtaining / maintaining our industry certifications.
- Serves as primary interface with agencies issuing industry, scheduling all required audits, and providing all necessary communication.
- Uses problem solving and continuous improvement tools as applied to customer and internal issues.
- Manages laboratory personnel and objectives to meet the needs of production departments.
- Updates, maintains, and distributes all Level 1 through Level 4 Quality Documentation, which provides the tools necessary for each employee to satisfy his respective part of the system.
- Provides the training necessary for each employee to satisfy his respective part of the system.
- Responsible for the execution of our QMS, monitors its effectiveness, and works with others for continual improvement thereof.
- Monitors and maintains monthly KPIs and documents trends.
- Communicates with customers on Quality related issues as required, including the completion of all surveys / questionnaires.
- Maintains our database of all Quality related information, as well as our audit calendar, assuring all required audits are completed in a timely fashion.
- Maintains an attitude of humility, understanding that the core responsibilities are to support the efforts of those in production, and is enthusiastic in the fulfillment of this role.
- Performs all in-process and final inspections of production parts.
- Prepare shipments and associated documents.
- Saw, cut, and pre-machine test bar specimens for heat treat and maintain traceability.
- Review heat treats certifications for accuracy.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in quality assurance or quality control
- Must have experience in and an understanding of a major quality system standard, such as ISO9000 or AS9100
- Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both written and verbally.
- Experience with relevant laboratory testing equipment.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle several tasks at one time and prioritize work.
- Exhibits unparalleled integrity and ethical behavior.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
