Position Summary
WIELAND’s Senior Project Managers are the primary lead for complex projects, often overseeing multiple projects at once. They will provide direction and support to project team members for the successful completion of each project. This role involves strategic planning, high-level stakeholder management, and mentorship staff. They will report to the Project Director/ Regional Director.
Job Functions
Project Execution
- Works closely with the preconstruction team on the development of proposals and buyout strategy.
- Review project schedules with each Project Team to verify accuracy, in the event of delays, ensure project stakeholders are notified per contract requirements.
- Monitor project health within the Project Management Software to ensure the Project Team is utilizing and maintaining the Project Tools according to WIELAND SOP's.
- Verify coordination of all project requirements/reviews with authorities having jurisdiction.
- Ensure commitments or subcontract agreements are executed within 30 days of project award.
Client & Shareholder Management
- Review the overall project status with the client throughout the project to foster and maintain the relationship.
- Communicate with Owners, Architects, to project risks, costs/budgets, and change management.
Risk Management
- Review, understand, and communicate the Owner Contract terms to the Project Team for risk management and decision purposes.
- Assist project teams with contingency plans to mitigate risk.
- Lead dispute resolution with Project Team, Trade Partners, and suppliers while setting realistic expectations and delivering on commitments.
- Verify all Trade Partners have a signed subcontractor agreement, any necessary bonds and correct insurance before they begin work onsite and monitor future compliance.
- Participate/lead Owner contract negotiations
Budget & Cost Control
- Attend monthly financial meetings with Project Team and verify accuracy of Project Fee Reconciliation, Cost Projections, and S-Curves.
Leadership & Team Communication
- Mentor project team by communicating clear, challenging, and measurable goals to ensure employee expectations are known and tracked.
- Assist Project Executives and Project/Regional Directors with implementing Corporate Strategic Initiatives with their team members.
- Participate in internal Project Team meetings to evaluate risk.
Character & Culture

- CUI Handling: responsible for safeguarding Controlled Unclassified Information per NIST SP 800-171 and company policy, including proper access controls, encryption, secure storage/transfer, logging incident reporting and audit readiness.

Qualifications
- 10 years of construction management experience.
- Procore experience, preferred.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to understand and use technology in the field.
- Ability to travel as needed.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
