Skills
- Strong understanding of computer networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IPsec VPNs, Ethernet, BGP, OSPF routing protocols.
- Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools such as Splunk, SolarWinds, Fiddler, Burp Suite, Nmap, PRTG for threat detection & response.
- Knowledge of network support functions including LAN/WAN support, network installation & management of Cisco routers/switches.
- Proficiency in operating systems like Windows Server, Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS), macOS; scripting skills in Bash or PowerShell are a plus.
- Familiarity with encryption standards (SSL/TLS), PKI infrastructure, LDAP/Active Directory for identity & access management.
- Expertise in vulnerability research & assessment techniques using tools like Nmap or Nessus; experience with threat intelligence analysis.
- Understanding of IT governance frameworks such as COBIT or DIACAP; experience implementing security policies in compliance with ISO 27002/ISO 27000 series standards.
Certifications: CompTIA Security or CAP, or CISSP, orGCIH, or CASP, or CISA,or GCED
Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a US government Secret security clearance.
