What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Teaching Professor of Mathematics position at Widener University?
Widener University is currently seeking a full-time, non-tenure track Mathematics faculty member in the College of Arts and Sciences. Candidates must have experience teaching mathematics and/or statistics at the college/university level, good communication skills, and demonstrable excellence in teaching. Primary responsibilities will be teaching 12 credits of mathematics per semester mostly focused on Statistics and Business Statistics at the first-year level, teaching upper level statistics and mathematics classes for science and engineering majors. This role will also supervise adjunct instructors teaching introductory statistics course.

Required:
- Ph.D in Statistics, Mathematics, or closely related field.
- Minimally one-year post degree experience teaching mathematics and statistics at the undergraduate level as the instructor of record.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrable excellence in teaching, with an interest in participating in scholarship and academic citizenship activities.
- Experience in representing department in recruitment yield and student retention events.
- Active participant in departmental development and advancement.
- A commitment and willingness to direct, develop and oversee student research.
