DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to) :
Essential duties:
- Teaching one-three courses (depending on need) in Fall 2025 (ENGL 101 and/or introduction to literature courses, depending on need)
- Creating syllabi and assignments designed to hone writing, research, and critical thinking skills
- Emphasizing writing as a process through peer review, actionable feedback on drafts, student-instructor conferences, etc.
- Evaluating student work based on course goals
- Holding 4 office hours per week
Required:
- MA or above in English, Rhetoric/Composition, Creative Writing, or a related field.
- Experience teaching first-year writing courses at the college level (composition, literature surveys)
