Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care to children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
- Support childhood development through engaging activities that promote learning, social skills, and emotional growth
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, bathing, and nap times for infants and toddlers
- Implement behavior management strategies to encourage positive conduct and address behavioral challenges effectively
- Collaborate with parents or guardians to communicate progress, concerns, and updates about the child's well-being
- Maintain a clean, organized environment that adheres to safety standards and promotes healthy development
- Apply first aid as needed and respond promptly to emergencies or health concerns
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting or nannying roles is highly preferred
- Demonstrated classroom experience or early childhood education background is advantageous
- Familiarity with childhood development principles and behavior management techniques
- Experience caring for infants and toddlers, including feeding routines and developmental activities
- Knowledge of safety procedures including first aid certification is desirable
- Proven ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong teaching skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
