Installation Technician - Traveling

Responsibilities

• Erect and install batching and mixing equipment at customer job sites.
• Complete the mechanical installation of plant equipment.
• Verify equipment is delivered, staged, and ready for installation.
• Confirm footings are properly located before installation begins.
• Maintain daily and weekly progress reports and document any issues.
• Communicate project delays, field issues, and change order requests to the Field Services Manager.
• Coordinate with customers and job site personnel as needed.
• Keep the job site clean and secure at the end of each workday.
• Assist with equipment start-up and troubleshooting.
• Perform additional field service duties as assigned.
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Experience with commercial or industrial construction projects required.
• Experience in industrial controls preferred.
• Construction or related field experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic engineering and construction principles is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering assembly drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and construction skills.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, measuring tools, portable welders, cutting torches, rigging equipment, ladders, and other construction equipment.
• Ability to operate equipment such as telescopic forklifts and aerial lifts.
• Basic math skills, including measurements and fractions.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to prioritize work and meet project schedules with limited supervision.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Commitment to following all safety policies and procedures.
• Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 80–90%), with projects typically lasting 1–3 weeks.
