Hours
Full time 10-month position (190 contract days).
Contract Unit: This position is part of the Unit I (Certificated) bargaining unit.
FLSA: Exempt
Qualifications
Valid Maryland Professional Certificate required, Administrator I endorsement preferred or working toward an Administrator I endorsement.
Must have three (3) years of successful teaching experience.
Ability to interact positively with students, staff, and community.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
Participate as a member of the administrative team and carry out the directives of the principal.
Assist in the resolution of issues which interfere with students receiving the maximum benefit from the school’s educational programs.
Assist in protecting the health and welfare of all students.
Plan and administer a program of effective student discipline under the direction of the principal.
Coordinates and implements student related special programs as assigned by the principal.
Assist principal in the coordination, supervision, and monitoring of student related school activities/events as well as extra-curricular activities that occur outside of the regular school day.
Utilizes multiple data sources to improve student achievement, attendance and behavior.
Other related duties as assigned.
