What are the responsibilities and job description for the Major Appliance Sales Consultant position at Wickford Appliance?
Wickford Appliance is looking for a full-time Sales Consultant for our Middletown location.
We are looking for a high-energy person who is both able to sell inside our Middletown store as well as going out into the community, acquiring business and establishing their own book of new clientele.
The Sales Consultant will specialize in promoting and selling various household appliances, ranging from kitchen equipment like refrigerators, ovens, and dishwashers, to laundry machines. By leveraging their extensive product knowledge, they guide potential buyers through the myriads of options available, highlighting features, benefits, and energy efficiencies of different models.
Minimum Requirements:
- High- School Diploma or equivalent
- A Team Player with the ability to work independently
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Previous sales/customer service experience is preferred.

FLSA and Employment Status:
- Non-Exempt Hourly Base Wage Commission Eligibility
- Full-time position – 38-40 Hours
- Schedules vary Monday – Saturday from 9AM to 8PM with one day off during the week.
- Saturdays are Mandatory for all Sales Associates
Work Location: Middletown, RI 02842 – required to have reliable transportation to commute to and from work
