About the Role
We are seeking a full-time night shift LPN/Floor Nurse to supervise all care, administer medications and treatments, and oversee our team of Resident Care Aides (RCAs). You will ensure that resident care assignments are implemented effectively, monitor resident progress, and collaborate with healthcare teams to adjust services as needed. Your role will have a direct impact on residents’ health, safety, and overall well-being, and will provide them with the supportive and homelike environment they deserve.
What You’ll Do
- Assess residents’ health status and needs, implementing individualized service care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and document resident progress, reporting changes to the healthcare team
- Educate residents and families about acute and chronic conditions
- Supervise RCAs on shift, ensuring tasks are completed safely and effectively
- Oversee all Assisted Living residents’ safety and overall well-being
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the highest quality of care
Required Qualifications
- Valid LPN license in Michigan (or pending verification/NCLEX completion)
- Completion of an accredited LPN program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Physical stamina to stand and walk throughout the shift
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Critical thinking for evaluating resident responses to treatments
- Leadership skills to supervise and support care staff effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Assisted Living, Memory Care, or long-term care settings
- Advanced certifications or specialized training in senior care
Schedule
- Full time night shift: 10:30pm-7:00am weeknights, 6:30pm-7:00am every other Sat/Sun
