Position Overview
The Construction Project Manager will oversee all phases of underground utility projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to thrive in a very fast-paced environment. Ability to travel, including multiple overnight stays, is required.
Responsibilities
· Manage underground utility construction projects from start to finish.
· Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets.
· Supervise field crews and subcontractors to ensure safety and quality.
· Coordinate with clients, engineers, inspectors, and vendors.
· Review plans, specifications, and contracts.
· Conduct site visits and lead progress meetings.
· Approve invoices, change orders, and project documentation.
Qualifications
· Minimum 5 years of experience in underground utility construction.
· Bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering.
· Proven success managing civil infrastructure projects.
· Strong knowledge of water, sewer, and storm drain systems.
· Advanced computer skills required, including proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Raken, Bluebeam, MS Project), spreadsheets, and digital documentation tools.
· Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
· Valid driver’s license.
· Ability to travel to job sites, including overnight stays, as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
· OSHA 30 Certification.
· Experience with public works and municipal contracts.
· Experience managing fast-paced data center projects is a strong plus.
